Devlog 1: Demo Progress and Info


Currently the demo for Defenders of Cardom  is very near completion so I'm sharing some details about it!

When is the demo coming?

I'm planning on releasing the demo ASAP. At latest: probably around the end of the week. I need to finish getting the web version working, then I'm pretty much done!

What will be in the demo?

The demo will contain all of the game I've made at this point. It will have 3 levels, several cards, and the overworld! The demo should contain anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes of content.

Will the demo be updated?

For about the next month and half, I will continue adding in the new content I create to the demo. This should entail a new tower, 1 new level, a few new spell/enchantments, and possibly some new enemy mechanics. During this time period I'll also release balance patches and bug fixes.

When will it release in full?

This is also if it releases. I'm still a long, long ways away from feeling comfortable charging money for this game. It is very rough in some areas, and would like to be a lot closer to a finished product before releasing. Expect more info on a full release after I end support for the demo.

Web version details

I'm hoping to create a web version and a downloadable version of the demo, but that's dependent on if I can get a web version to work. Even if I do. The web version will not support saving the game, but other than that, should be the full experience. The other big issue with the web version is that I do not want to have to keep updating it, so updates to the web version will be limited to bug fixes.
